How does a typical wedding day flow?

 

DJ Arrival: Early morning to setup the sound system for your wedding ceremony. Where possible I will set up both the disco, your additional extras and the ceremony room prior to guest arrival. I will use this time to lease with any photographers/videographer on site and decide how I can help them throughout the day with group shots and other photos.

Wedding Ceremony Guest Arrival: As your guests begin to arrive your chosen music will be playing. I will lease with the venue and registrars/celebrant to ensure your plans are being executed correctly. I will check in on your partner and his party and make sure they are all ok too! I will then continue to play the appropriate pieces of music you have pre selected for your ceremony.

Bridal Entrance: We may of decided to stagger the entrance of your bridal party for your selected piece of music. Working with the venue staff we will time the entrance of each member of the bridal party perfectly to ensure you hear as much of your chosen song as desired.

 

Signing The Register: Another two songs are played here whilst you complete the formalities.  

 

Exit Song: On cue we will have your exit song playing as you and your guests head to your drinks reception. At this point we turn up the volume and create a great atmosphere for your exit.

Announcements: I can make announcements over the microphone during the day including group photo calls. This always helps speed up the photo process.

Drinks Reception: I will re locate the sound system to provide background music in your drinks reception area. This will be complimented by a wireless microphone. Depending on your timeline I can start to work with your photographer to call group photos. When the time is right I will ask you and your partner to go and enjoy some time together whilst I ask your guests to head through into the wedding breakfast and take their seats. Of course at this point there will be background music playing in the room for ambience.

Wedding Introduction: Now the wireless microphone and I have found our way into the wedding breakfast. I will ask all of your guests to be upstanding and introduce you both into the room as a couple (this can be accompanied by a piece of music if you wish).

Wedding Breakfast/Speeches: Your wedding breakfast will have background music playing throughout. Speeches will be introduced by myself and a wireless microphone will be provided for each speaker. I will have a quick chat with the speakers prior to their speech to give them a quick run down of basic microphone technique so they sound crystal clear. I always suggest making your speakers aware they will be provided with a wireless microphone prior to your wedding so this doesn’t come as a surprise.

 

Moving into the Evening: At this point I continue with background music. We could make this more upbeat to change the atmosphere as evening guests often arrive at this point. It is then onto your wedding cake cutting, first dance and any other special dances that will all be introduced and announced.

 

Then it is party time!
